About Dr. Alexis Chesney

Dr. Alexis Chesney, MS, ND, LAc is a naturopathic physician, licensed acupuncturist, author, and educator with over a decade of experience caring for individuals with Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses, as well as complex chronic conditions.

Since 2010, Dr. Chesney has focused her clinical work on Lyme disease, vector-borne diseases, mold toxicity, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), dysautonomia, and chronic complex illness, combining evidence-informed medicine with a whole-person approach. She trained with leaders in the field of tick-borne disease and has dedicated her career to improving education, prevention, and early recognition of these often-missed conditions.

Dr. Chesney is the author of Preventing Lyme & Other Tick-Borne Diseases (Storey Publishing, 2020) and regularly educates both the public and medical professionals. Her teaching emphasizes prevention, early intervention, critical thinking around diagnosis and testing, and thoughtful, individualized care. This course reflects her clinical experience and review of more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles, translating complex science into practical, actionable guidance.

She currently provides telehealth care through her private practice and is on staff at Sojourns Community Health Clinic in Vermont.
