Lyme Disease Treatment in New Hampshire (Telehealth)

Comprehensive, Personalized Care for Lyme Disease and Vector-Borne Illness

If you’re in New Hampshire and dealing with a recent tick bite, a new Lyme diagnosis, or ongoing symptoms that haven’t fully resolved, you’re in the right place.

I’m Dr. Alexis Chesney, a naturopathic physician with over 16 years of experience treating Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. I provide telehealth care for patients throughout New Hampshire, including Concord, Keene, Hanover, Portsmouth, and surrounding areas.

My Approach to Lyme Disease Care

Lyme disease can be straightforward in some cases - and more complex in others. My goal is to meet you where you are and create a plan that is both comprehensive and individualized.

Care may include:
  • Thorough evaluation of your symptoms and history
  • Ordering lab testing when indicated
  • Guidance on appropriate antibiotic treatment, or other pharmaceutical medications, when indicated
  • Botanical and nutritional support
  • Support for immune function, inflammation, and other body systems
  • Education so you understand what’s happening in your body

I take the time to explain your options and help you make informed decisions about your care.

Prescribing in New Hampshire

I am licensed in New Hampshire as a naturopathic doctor, which allows me to prescribe medications, including antibiotics, when clinically appropriate.

For patients with early Lyme disease (such as a "bull’s-eye" Lyme rash), this means we can initiate treatment promptly through telehealth when indicated.

When to Schedule an Appointment

You may benefit from an appointment if you:
  • Recently had a tick bite
  • Have a rash or symptoms suggestive of early Lyme disease
  • Were diagnosed with Lyme disease and want a more comprehensive treatment plan
  • Have ongoing symptoms after prior treatment
  • Suspect another tick-borne illness such as babesiosis, anaplasmosis, alpha gal syndrome or bartonellosis
  • Are dealing with complex chronic illness including mycotoxicity, MCAS, ME/CFS, long Covid

Telehealth Visits for New Hampshire Patients

All visits are conducted via secure telehealth, allowing you to receive care from home.

During your visit, we will:
  • Review your full history and current concerns
  • Discuss testing (if needed)
  • Create a clear, step-by-step treatment plan

You’ll leave with a strong understanding of next steps and how to move forward.

Why Patients in New Hampshire Work With Me

Many of my New Hampshire patients are looking for:
  • A more personalized, comprehensive approach to their care
  • A deeper understanding of the underlying causes of their symptoms
  • Clear guidance in navigating complex or persistent symptoms
  • Support beyond a standard short course of antibiotics
  • Advanced training as an International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society Fellow, with a focus on Lyme disease and complex vector-borne infections
  • An integrative approach that may include antibiotics, botanical medicine, and targeted nutritional support
  • A whole-person perspective that considers how different systems in the body interact and contribute to symptoms

My role is to help you connect the dots and move toward recovery with clarity and confidence.
